It’s been a stellar start to the Australian Surf Bus’ story since establishing itself in the growing health and sustainability tourism space this year.
This exciting new ‘surf camp on wheels’ style tour transported more than 80 passengers to the best surf spots along the East Coast between Sydney and Brisbane.
Australian Surf Bus director Seb Higgins-George says the bus brought thousands of dollars into the local communities during off-peak periods by taking surf lessons with local instructors, staying at town campgrounds, as well as dining at the wonderful cafes and restaurants.
“With 100% five star reviews our customers thoroughly enjoyed the health and wellbeing aspect of our trips,” he said.
“With a big focus of the trip on the natural beauty of Australia such as our unique wildlife, breathtaking scenery and incredible First Nations culture, the customers were able to truly immerse themselves in the rawness of the land down under.
“In response to this dream opening year of operation we’re now seeing a huge influx of bookings into 2025, including our new Winter itinerary which will see us visit Byron Bay, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Rainbow Beach.”
Winter is a particularly perfect time of year to go surfing and camping with crisp weather conditions. We will trial this itinerary from May to August as we look to grow into different markets across Australia.
This new Winter itinerary will be four days long instead of six with our customers receiving four lessons with the best local instructors at the best surf spots available, daily video analysis, a single tent (or doubles for couples), daily healthy breakfast and dinner plus wildlife watching and an incredible First Nations experience.
